Author Guidelines

Journal of Early Childhood Studies which accept the research articles, review articles, book reviews and article on professional experience in Turkish and English is a double blind peer review academic journal. Journal of Early Childhood Studies is published online and there is no hardcopy version of journal.

PS: It is mandatory to do proofreading for English manuscripts before publication. This is author(s) responsibility. Author/s can submit the proofreading certificate to the the journal system or send as an e-mail to  eccd.jecs@gmail.com.

Writing Format:

Articles which submitted to Journal of Early Childhood Studies main body should be Garamond style 12 fonts, 1.5-line spacing, auto space between paragraphs. References should be prepared based on APA 6 reference displaying essences. Direct quotations are written within“. If the direct quotation is longer than 40 words, then it should be written without using“ as a separate paragraph, indented and in 10 fonts.

Abstract: Abstract of the article should be provided general idea about research to readers, abstract should be written Garamond 9 font, between 100 to 150 words.

Abstract in Turkish (it will be added after accepting by journal)

Introduction: It includes information about the purpose, significance, conceptual “theoretical framework and study in general.

Method: It gives information about the method and the process followed in the study. This section should be included research design, research sample or group, data collection tools and process, analysis of data.

Results: It is the main section in which the collected data and findings are presented.

Conclusion and Discussion: It is section where the conclusion reached through findings is presented and referring to similar studies about the same topic and discussions in literature.

References: References of article should be presented in APA 6 Style

CITING and REFERENCES WRITING RULES

The citation and reference presentation of works, which is to be submitted to the Journal of Early Childhood Studies, should be prepared in accordance with APA 6 rules.

References in the article should be cited according to APA 6 rules (e.g. Bitner, 1994). If more than one citation is used, the citation should be given in alphabetical order. For example, the reference should be given as (Bitner, 1994, Ekici, 2002, Kara & Özden, 2005, Russell & Hollander, 1975, Yıldırım & Çirkinoğlu, 2005).

When preparing the bibliography form, in MS Office Paragraph Indent and Space Tab on the Special section hanging next to the value should be 1.25 cm; Line Spacing should be single-spaced, and line spacing for lower and upper part should also be set to 6 nk, the text align should be set to justified (As shown in Figure 1).
